Policies:

HOUSEKEEPING-  You are responsible to keep the Cottage clean and to leave it clean for the next guests. Supplies, mop & vacuum are supplied. 

The best test is "leave it like you would like it " when you would arrive. Remember this is the start of someone else's vacation.

DIARY: Please feel free to read and add your favorite memories to the diary.

REFRIGERATOR: If you choose to leave anything for the next guests, please leave a note explaining it's O.K. to consume.

OCCUPANT LIMITS - The maximum number of persons allowed is six (6). No exceptions -- extra persons include babies and children.

SEPTIC SYSTEM PRECAUTIONS: Our cottage is at lake level and would require an expensive mound system if replaced. Please observe the rule: "If it's Yellow, let it Mellow.  If it's Brown, flush it Down."

VISITORS - NO overnight guests will be allowed.

PAYMENT - Payment of nonrefundable deposit will hold a week.  Balance including optional rentals due 2 months prior to arrival.

CHECK-IN TIME - At 12 pm on Saturdays for regular weekly rentals. 

CHECK-OUT TIME - For regular weekly rental is 10am sharp on Saturday.

MARINE POLICY - All regular weekly Boat & Motor rentals terminate on Friday night at 8pm.  Our Boat and Motors are rented for fishing and boating only and not for water tubing/skiing.  Minimum age for the operation of our Boat & Motors is 16 years old.  You are responsible for ANY damage to the Boat & Motor outside normal wear.

PETS - Pets will be allowed under the following conditions:

1. Pets will be put in the Kennel on the back porch when unattended. Reason: Pets can behave strangely when they feel abandoned and may cause damage . Also be aware that pets are territorial and may mark their area. Please don't allow them to mark in the cottage.

2. Clean up all droppings on grounds.

3. Pets must be kept off furniture including beds.

4. Pets should be kept under leash when outdoors as to not disturb neighbors. Also pets should be kept quiet. The bathtub cannot be used for cleaning pets.

5. If you agree to the above terms and you pay $50/week for each pet as well as a $100/security deposit your pet will be allowed. Note: The neighbor to the North will be made aware of any allowed pets and has been instructed to call us if there are any problems or if you haven't paid for pets.

JET SKIS: Lake rules allow from 1-4pm, however, they are strongly discouraged by most owners.

Patrons are responsible for the actions and the safety of their children and guests.

For the enjoyment of all concerned, ALL QUIET AFTER 11pm.
Please respect your neighbors when moving about Chmieloon's surroundings.
Noisy parties and profane language will not be tolerated.


Please understand that these policies are for your protection and enjoyment, breaking them can be cause for eviction.  The Management of Chmieloon is not responsible for missing articles or accidents.
